We are currently seeking an experienced Operations Supervisor to join our team in Sevenoaks. In this role, you will play a key part in ensuring the efficient and safe operations of our field-based engineers. Your responsibilities will include assisting with the planning and coordination of engineering activities, performing site Health & Safety audits, ensuring the team is properly equipped, and maintaining a professional and safe working environment.
This is an exciting opportunity for someone with drainage experience or a supervisory background, who is looking to develop their career further. The role will involve both field and office-based tasks, ensuring that operations run smoothly, while also being part of the operational team when needed.
About the role:
- Location: Sevenoaks
- Hours: Monday to Friday 40 hours per week
- Salary: £34,000 -£38,000 pa dependent on experience
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with planning and coordinating the activities of the engineering team to ensure tasks are completed on time and to the required standard.
- Being the first point of contact for the operatives and supporting them with problem solving for any drainage related issues.
- Customer/Client interaction- providing timescales and being a contact to answer any questions or queries they may have
- Perform Health & Safety audits on-site and ensure compliance with safety protocols.
- Ensure that the team has the necessary equipment, information, and resources to complete work efficiently and safely.
- Assisting in managing the company’s vehicles and plant within the depot, ensuring they are properly calibrated, serviced, and maintained.
- Maintain the fleet and equipment in a condition that reflects the company’s professional image and commitment to Health & Safety.
- Oversee the efficient scheduling of work to maximise productivity and asset usage.
About You:
- Previous experience in drainage or utilities is preferred, but not essential.
- Strong leadership skills, with the ability to manage and motivate a team of field-based engineers.
- A full UK driving licence is required.
- Ability to schedule and prioritise tasks effectively to optimise workflow and asset usage.
