Management Accountant

Crimson Tide
Full-time
On-site
Tunbridge Wells, Kent, United Kingdom

The Role

At Crimson Tide, we’re building something exciting. As a growing AIM-listed SaaS company, we’re looking for an experienced Management Accountant who’s as passionate about driving results as they are about getting into the detail.

This is not a role for someone who wants to sit back and simply 'oversee.' We’re after a qualified accountant who thrives on variety, enjoys seeing their input shape the company’s growth, and isn’t afraid to roll up their sleeves when needed.

You’ll be a key player in our finance function — working closely with the Finance Director, managing the relationship with our offshore bookkeeping team, and helping us identify smarter, faster, more efficient ways of working. Your attitude, adaptability, and collaborative spirit will be just as important as your technical expertise.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own the monthly management accounts process — prepare accurate, insightful reports with meaningful commentary for decision-making.
  • Manage and develop the relationship with our offshore bookkeeping team, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and alignment with UK requirements.
  • Oversee balance sheet reconciliations and month-end processes, ensuring timely and accurate reporting.
  • Prepare and review VAT returns and ensure compliance with all relevant regulations.
  • Assist in group consolidations across UK and US entities.
  • Cashflow management — maintain accurate forecasts and advise on working capital.
  • Identify and deliver process improvements across finance, driving efficiency and supporting change management initiatives.
  • Support the annual audit process, liaising with auditors and preparing required schedules.
  • Provide ad-hoc analysis and insights to support strategic decisions and company growth.

About You

  • Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) with strong technical skills.
  • Proactive, adaptable, and comfortable with change — you see opportunities, not obstacles.
  • Hands-on approach and willingness to get into the detail when needed.
  • Strong communicator with the ability to build positive relationships (including offshore teams).
  • Solid organisational skills and ability to work to deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  •  Experience in SaaS or a growing business is beneficial but not essential — attitude and curiosity matter most.

What We Offer

  • A role where you can directly see the impact of your work on company growth.
  • The opportunity to work closely with a Finance Director in a high-growth AIM-listed company.
  • A culture that values collaboration, initiative, and continuous improvement.
  • Exposure to international operations and cross-border reporting.
  • Hybrid working, with a base in Tunbridge Wells.
